Katawba Valley Land Trust Annual Meeting Set for October 27th

The Katawba Valley Land Trust (KVLT) is pleased to announce its upcoming Annual Meeting on Sunday, October 27th, from 2 PM to 4 PM at the beautiful Landsford Canal State Park, located at 2051 Park Drive, Catawba, SC. This event is a celebration of our members and our ongoing efforts to preserve the natural and cultural heritage of the Catawba River Valley.

The day will begin with a social hour at 2 PM, providing an opportunity for attendees to connect and enjoy the scenic surroundings. At 3 PM, the business meeting will begin, which includes important updates and a vote on the nominees for the Board of Directors.

A special highlight of the event will be the unveiling of memorial benches honoring Lindsay and Louise Pettus, the founders of KVLT. Lindsay’s work was instrumental in expanding Landsford Canal State Park, and Louise, a renowned historian and author, shared her brother’s passion for conservation.

This event is free and open to both members and the public. Anyone interested is welcome to join by visiting the membership table upon arrival.
