The Katawba Valley Land Trust has worked with numerous private, local, state and federal partners to accomplish conservation objectives over the years.

Katawba Valley Land Trust holds conservation easements on several sites owned by other organizations.

Personal property owners choose to protect their land from development by putting a conservation easement on the property. This allows them to still own and manage their land while protecting conservation values.

We believe in providing educational opportunities for the public to learn about the world around them and the importance of a land trust in their community. We offer outings, a speaker series, and engage with the community at events. Visit the Events tab to see what’s coming up!

There are areas around Lancaster and Chester counties that the land trust has protected, not only for conservation values but to also provide access for the public to get out and enjoy our beautiful natural and cultural history.

In addition to holding conservation easements, KVLT has also acquired property that we own through purchase or donation. We protect the conservation values, allow some public access, and work with other organizations for the betterment of the land and population that we serve.
