As part of an Audubon TogetherGreen fellowship, KVLT has outlined two volunteer initiatives to begin this spring.  We hope you can join us for these exciting occasions!

Gardening at the Catawba Nation Senior Center

We will help develop native plant gardens and vegetable gardens at the Catawba Nation Senior Center. Planting will take place one weekday in mid-April.  We will be in need of volunteers to help with the installation of these gardens!  If you are interested, please contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. TogetherGreen Cleanup Blast at Rocky Creek

As part of our TogetherGreen initiative, KVLT has partnered with the Great Falls Hometown Association to initiate a cleanup at the Rocky Creek Trail, in Great Falls, SC.  In 2009, the trail, which is open to the public, was designated as an Audubon Important Bird Area and is one of the first official legs of the Carolina Thread Trail.

Join us for a day on the creek!  We’ll start at 8:30 AM on Saturday April 24th with a guided nature walk along the trail and then transition into a cleanup, filled with exciting contests and prizes for those who collect the most trash.  For complete details, please click "read more" below.

Hot dogs will be provided at lunchtime.  The trailhead is located 1.2 miles south of Great Falls on Hwy 21.  Look for the “Carolina Thread Trail” sign and KVLT sign.
